Drifting Contemplations: Love Story #3 (micropoetry)

Love story(lovestory)…to me any story that talks about love in between two people or sometimes between a person and a thing/concept/idea is a love story,it can be any kind of love, between partners, between siblings or a mother and son or a religion and a person,it could be one-sided too,any story with love at the core of it is a love story,it doesn’t even have to be something in the now,a past or the possibility of a future encounter…could be all of that and nothing…below are two micropoems on love,an almost love story only if they had…and a love story at it’s very stage of conception long before they meet(if they do that is)…

ls1
He was the storm
she never chased…
she was the calm
he never sought…
they remained
incomplete…
never got
acquainted…
to the magic
of being lost

ls
At different times on distant sands
they casually wrote their own names…
each wave that hit those sand grains
carried with it fragments of them…
played a part in their destinies getting interlaced…
in deep oceans without their knowledge…
…their journey towards each other began…

Drifting Contemplations: Poetry (micropoetry)

Poetry…Why poetry? Because I have no choice I guess, one cannot say why things come to them, they just do,when I feel something I write, those could be my own or borrowed emotions,I watch something and empathize with the character in the movie or the protagonist in a book(not that I read many books) or get inspired by someone else’s poetry,I have no say in how my ink flows,I do not control it,it just does,if I could change what I write I would first try to write better, but like I said it just comes, the micropoetry below is a poetic way of saying why and this is me,my emotions, exactly why I write,to leave something behind and to express love…
if you are a poet/writer,tell me why do you write or what makes you write is the right question I think…

poetry1
Head in the clouds
and feet on unstable ground…
trying to find my rainbow
in the drought…
leaving behind a hazy poetic trail
in the hope of being one day found

poetry
every morning
I wake up thinking
of how to tell you
the same thing differently…
that humble attempt
at giving
‘love you’ new words
has strung a poet out of me

Drifting Contemplations: She (15words poetry)

She…there are so many shes and hers that I see each day(mostly virtually),graceful, beautiful, eloquent writers, eloquent speakers, who weave magic with their words, inspire and encourage, give strength, this is for all of them and also to those amazing women who I know exist but I haven’t met yet…to all that is graceful and beautiful in the world despite being flawed…my first 15words poem was especially written for my very graceful friend Chris Frazier, you can find her poetry here Chris Frazier

she1
She was so
graceful
that even
her words
did a
ballet
sequence
when she
spoke

she2
She was
getting
over the
torment
that was his
absence…
one poem
at a time

15words poetry is all thanks to a community in google plus which was started by it’s owner as a challenge to combat writers block and free up the mind of words. It became a challenge that many writers took up,and then grew into a community. The link to the community is 15 words a day
I’m a member here and it serves as a source of inspiration to me,it has helped me a lot in growing as a poet, yes,I always read micropoetry and marvelled at the talent of those who wrote, because it really is difficult to write a poem, make a point in short verse and 15words is another challenge all together,I’m hooked,I’ll be posting more of this,I hope you find the time to read.
